NAEAC Team Visits SMIU for Environmental Sciences Accreditation Karachi
An Accreditation Inspection Committee of National Agriculture Education Accreditation Council visited Sindh Madressatul Islam University to evaluate its BS Environmental Science program.
Led by Dr. Abdul Ghaffar, the committee conducted a comprehensive review of curriculum, faculty, governance, and institutional facilities. The team inspected key infrastructure, including laboratories, library, classrooms, and sports and medical facilities, and held detailed interactions with faculty members, students, and alumni to assess academic quality and learning outcomes.
The evaluation also focused on curriculum structure, faculty workload, student assessment methods, and departmental record-keeping. In its observations, the committee highlighted the need to further improve faculty workload balance and student-teacher ratio to enhance academic standards.
Prof. Dr. Zahid Ali Channar appreciated the committee’s detailed assessment and assured that all recommendations would be implemented to strengthen the program and expand opportunities for students.
