SMIU Students Represent University at Uraan National Debate Competition 2025

Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) proudly participated in the Uraan National Debate Competition 2025, organized by the Ministry of Planning, Development & Special Initiatives under the Uraan Pakistan Program.

Representing SMIU were Muhammad Mubeen Malik (President, YPDC-SMIU Chapter), Muhammad Shoaib Taha (Vice President, YPDC-SMIU Chapter), and Fatima Fazal (Coordinator, YPDC-SMIU Chapter).

The competition marked a significant milestone for the university as its team participated in the British Parliamentary Debate format for the first time, engaging in insightful discussions on the 5Es of Uraan YPDC. The event provided a valuable platform for students to interact with youth from diverse backgrounds, enhance their confidence, strengthen analytical and communication skills, and promote teamwork.

The participation reflected SMIU’s commitment to nurturing informed, articulate, and socially responsible youth. The university commends its students for demonstrating intellectual excellence, resilience, and leadership at a national forum, and remains dedicated to fostering a culture of constructive dialogue and critical thinking for Pakistan’s progress.
