Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) hosted a study visit for children of Karachi Press Club members and journalists.
During the visit, Dr. Jamshed Adil Halepoto, Acting Vice Chancellor, and Ms. Zonaira Jalali, Manager, Directorate of Students Affairs and Counselling, welcomed the delegation. Dr. Mansoor Ahmed Khuhro, Chairperson, Department of Artificial Intelligence and Mathematical Sciences, delivered a presentation on the opportunities, benefits and potential risks of artificial intelligence.
The visitors also watched a documentary on SMIU and toured the Jinnah Museum, where Assistant Director PR Ashfaq Siyal briefed them about the historic relics of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, Khan Bahadur Hassanally Effendi and notable SMIU alumni.
The delegation also visited the university’s TV Studio, where Director Media Training Center Asif Ghaffar briefed them about its facilities and activities.
