Department of Social and Development Studies
The Department of Social and Development Studies, Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), is proud to share a milestone achievement by the department.
SMIU’s students recently completed an intensive 3-day training session organized by the Bargad Organization for Youth Development, focused on the Youth Mental Health Network (YMHN) and Digital Advocacy.
Following the training, the outstanding students of the department, namely Fatima Fazul Rehman, Umi-e-Aisha Faheem, Muhammad Shoaib Taha, and Alisha Haroon, were selected to represent SMIU in a high-level meeting with the Honourable Governor of Sindh Syed Nehal Hashmi.
Alongside delegates from the University of Karachi, Dow University of Health Sciences, and Iqra University, SMIU students presented their advocacy plans in the meeting held at the Governor House
