SMIU Signs MOU with University of Cologne, Germany

The Alma Mater of Quaid-e-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah, Sindh Madressatul Islam University Karachi signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with University of Cologne, Germany which is one of top ten universities of Germany, on October 6, 2021. The MoU has been inked to collaborate between the two high seats of learning on Stem Cell Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI) along with other areas of mutual interest such as faculty and students exchange programs, research activities, joint research projects, and distinguished lecture series. Both the institutions have vowed to undertake research activities in the areas: 1) mental age and stow behind genetics of people with Down Syndrome, 2) improving speech disorders in people with Down Syndrome using Artificial Intelligence, and 3) artificial intelligence based tools and techniques for early detection and management of stress. The MoU was signed by Prof. Dr. Mujeebuddin Sahrai Memon, Vice Chancellor, Sindh Madressatul Islam University, Pakistan, and Prof. Dr. J. Hescheler, Director, Institute of Neurophysiology University of Cologne, Germany.
