Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir Observed with Solidarity Walk and Program
Youm-e-Istehsal-e-Kashmir was observed on Tuesday through a solidarity walk and a program held to express support for the people of Kashmir and condemn India’s revocation of Article 370.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai led the walk from the Main Building to the I.T. Tower. Deans, chairpersons, faculty members, officers, employees, and students participated in the event.
A solidarity program was later held at Sir Shahnawaz Bhutto Auditorium, where Dr. Jamshed Adil Halepoto, Muhammad Naeem Ahmed, and students also addressed participants.
Speakers condemned the revocation of Article 370 and urged the United Nations to implement its resolutions on Kashmir passed since 1948. They expressed solidarity with the Kashmiri people, demanded their right to self-determination, and condemned the alleged use of force by Indian troops in occupied Kashmir. The speakers also called upon the Muslim Ummah and international community to raise their voice against human rights violations in Kashmir.
