3rd Global Research Congress Concludes Successfully at SMIU
Karachi, December 18, 2025: The two-day 3rd Global Research Congress (GRC-2025), comprising five international conferences and one national conference, concluded successfully at Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU). The event brought together scholars, researchers, academicians, policymakers, industry experts, faculty, and students to discuss emerging issues related to artificial intelligence, education, environment, business, entrepreneurship, and sustainable development.
Speaking at the concluding session, Muhammad Ismail Rahoo praised SMIU’s contribution to higher education and lauded the leadership of Mujeeb Sahrai. He assured full support to the university and called for the implementation of the congress recommendations.
The session was presided over by Sarosh Hashmat Lodi, who appreciated SMIU for successfully organizing the international event. Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai thanked all national and international participants and reiterated that promoting research and innovation among faculty and youth remains a key objective of the university.
International keynote speaker Paul McEvoy commended the academic quality of the congress and Pakistan’s hospitality, expressing interest in future collaborations. Earlier, Jamshed Adil Halepoto presented a report highlighting the outcomes and recommendations of the congress.
Shields were presented to members of the organizing committees in recognition of their contributions. The ceremony was attended by Muhammad Abbas Baloch, Fateh Muhammad Marri, Misbah Qureshi, along with national and international scholars, faculty members, officers, and students.
