Independence Day Celebrations Begin with Tree Plantation Drive
Pakistan’s 78th Independence Day celebrations under the theme “Bunyan-ul-Marsoos, Marka-e-Haq, Jashn-e-Azadi” commenced with a tree plantation ceremony held at Henry Vines Garden.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai and Dr. Ivan Eubanks planted saplings symbolizing growth, resilience, and commitment to a prosperous Pakistan.
Addressing the ceremony, Dr. Sahrai paid tribute to Pakistan’s Armed Forces for their courage during the May 2025 conflict and emphasized the role of youth in safeguarding national interests and serving the country with dedication. He also announced that various programs will be organized from August 1 to 14 to celebrate Independence Day.
The ceremony was attended by faculty members, officers, employees, and students.
