Panel Discussion on Climate Change and Media Narratives in the Age of AI Held at SMIU
The Faculty of Social Sciences at Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) organized a panel discussion on “Climate Change and Media Narratives in the Age of AI” during the 3rd Global Research Congress (GRC-2025).
The session featured Mr. Nasir Ali Panhwar, Ms. Fatima Majeed, Ms. Zeenia Shaukat, and Prof. Dr. Subhash Babu, who discussed climate change challenges, environmental sustainability, media narratives, and the role of artificial intelligence in shaping public awareness.
The speakers emphasized the need for stronger climate awareness, protection of the Indus Delta and mangrove forests, sustainable environmental policies, and responsible media coverage of climate issues. They also highlighted the importance of research, community engagement, and renewable energy initiatives in addressing Pakistan’s growing climate challenges.
The session was moderated by Dr. Nausheen Hussain, Lecturer at SMIU, while souvenirs were presented to the distinguished guests by Dr. Ambreen Fazal and Prof. Dr. Subhash Babu.
