Performance Certificates Awarded to SMIU Library Team
Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai, Vice Chancellor of Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), distributed performance certificates among library staff at a ceremony held at the Khan Bahadur Hassanally Effendi Library.
The certificate recipients included Mr. Shahnawaz Mahessar (Librarian), Ms. Mahjabeen Ali (Additional Librarian), Ms. Nadia Kiran (Deputy Librarian), Mr. Tariq Aziz Gorar (Assistant Librarian), and Syeda Ayesha Urooj Naqvi (Assistant Librarian).
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sahrai highlighted the importance of books and libraries for students. He noted that SMIU houses three libraries: the central Khan Bahadur Hassanally Effendi Library, the Allama I.I. Kazi Library at the IT Tower, and another within SMIU's Model School. He emphasized that these libraries offer valuable books, research journals, WiFi, computers, and digital library access, along with dedicated space for researchers.
The Vice Chancellor praised the conducive atmosphere maintained by the library staff and also visited various sections of the library, issuing directives for further improvements. Dr. Abdul Hafeez Khan, Advisor to the VC on Academics, and Mr. Sajid Ali, Deputy Registrar (Staff), also attended the event.
