Safe Talk at SMIU: Opening Doors to Mental Well-Being”
The Department of Social and Development Studies at Sindh Madressatul Islam University organized “Safe Talk: Free Psychological Consultation Sessions” to promote student well-being.
Supervised by Dr. Nosheen Hussain, the event offered one-on-one consultations by psychologists from Savaira, including Marium Hussain, Shan-e-Zainab, and Sana Shamim. Around 30 students received personalized 15-minute sessions in a confidential and supportive environment.
Dr. Subhash Babu presented shields to the psychologists, while Dr. Muhammad Kamil Lakho, Dr. Ambreen Fazal, and Dr. Sumaira Memon attended.
The initiative highlighted the importance of accessible mental health support and was widely appreciated by students.
