SMIU Organizes Session on Effective Communication Skills
The Department of Media & Communication Studies at Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) organized a guest lecture on “Effective Communication Skills” by senior management consultant Syed Nusrat Ali, who has over 30 years of experience in training and development. The session aimed to strengthen students’ communication and writing skills for academic and professional success.
Using practical examples and an interactive approach, the speaker explained key communication techniques and engaged students in activities reflecting real-life situations. Several students also participated in an extempore public speaking exercise and received souvenirs for their performance. At the conclusion, Lecturer Dr. Nosheen Hussain thanked the guest speaker for his insightful session, while Chairperson Dr. Ambreen Fazal presented him with a shield in recognition of his valuable contribution.
