SMIU Holds Kashmir Solidarity Rally
Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) organized a Kashmir Solidarity Rally led by Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai. The rally began from the university’s IT Tower and concluded at the Main Building, with participation from deans, chairpersons, faculty, officers, staff, and students. Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sahrai reaffirmed Pakistan’s support for the Kashmiri people’s right to self-determination and criticized the non-implementation of United Nations resolutions on Kashmir. He also paid tribute to Pakistan’s Armed Forces for safeguarding the country and condemned violence against civilians in occupied Kashmir. Referring to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, he called for an end to the suffering of Palestinians. He urged the SMIU community to express solidarity with Kashmiris through peaceful awareness campaigns, including responsible use of social media.
