SMIU Holds Panel Discussion on Educators’ Role in Building Sustainable Societies
The Faculty of Education, Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) organized a panel discussion on “Role of Educators in Shaping Sustainable Societies: Challenges and Opportunities” during the 3rd Global Research Congress (GRC-2025).
The panel featured Shahida Sajjad, Rana Hussain, and Amjad Arain. The speakers highlighted the importance of quality education, teacher development, sustainability, and effective policy implementation in addressing challenges facing Pakistan’s education sector.
The panelists emphasized that empowered teachers, innovative teaching methods, and stronger accountability mechanisms are essential for building sustainable societies and improving educational outcomes. They also stressed the need for reforms aligned with contemporary societal needs.
The session concluded with remarks by Stephen John, who thanked the panelists and presented shields and souvenirs in recognition of their contributions.
