SMIU Holds PhD Defense Seminar for Environmental Sciences Scholar
Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) held a PhD Defense Seminar for three scholars of the Department of Environmental Sciences—Shahid Hussain, Kaleemullah Abro, and Hasan Khuld—at the Senate Hall on May 7, 2026. The session was chaired by Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai and attended by external expert Dr. Nuzhat Khan, deans, faculty members, and researchers. The scholars presented research on occupational and environmental health, riverine forest sustainability, and industrial wastewater treatment. Dr. Nuzhat Khan evaluated the presentations and offered recommendations to strengthen the research. Dr. Sahrai also provided detailed academic feedback, emphasizing global relevance, methodological rigor, and practical applicability. The seminar concluded with constructive discussions, reflecting SMIU’s commitment to quality research and academic excellence in environmental sciences.
