SMIU Hosts Celebrated Artist Bushra Ansari for “My Experiences and Encounters” Lecture
Karachi, January 1, 2026: Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU) hosted renowned artist, writer, singer, and playwright Bushra Ansari for a lecture titled “My Experiences and Encounters” under its Popular Lecture Series. Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai said the series aims to inspire students by connecting them with accomplished personalities from diverse fields. Bushra Ansari reflected on her childhood in the literary home of journalist Ahmed Bashir, crediting her father’s courage and discipline for shaping her character. She spoke about balancing her acting career with family responsibilities and urged students to embrace hard work, resilience, and education. Expressing concern over the misuse of social media, she encouraged youth to pursue meaningful careers in science, engineering, arts, and research. The event concluded with an interactive question-and-answer session and a souvenir presentation.
