SMIU Hosts Orientation Session on National Article Writing Competition 2025
October 2025: The Directorate of Student Affairs and Counselling, SMIU, in collaboration with the Policy Research Initiative for Zakat-Based, Interest-Free Economy (PRIZE), organized an orientation session on the National Article Writing Competition 2025.
The session introduced students to research opportunities focusing on zakat-based, interest-free economic models, including themes such as tax reform and interest-free banking systems. Mr. Qanit Khalil Ullah, Chairman PRIZE, addressed the participants and shared valuable insights on economic reform grounded in Islamic principles.
The competition offers cash prizes of PKR 100,000, PKR 60,000, and PKR 40,000, with submissions due by November 30, 2025. A souvenir was presented to the guest speaker in recognition of his contribution.
