SMIU Media Students Visit Karachi Press Club for Practical Learning
Students of the Department of Media and Communication Studies at Sindh Madressatul Islam University visited Karachi Press Club as part of their academic and field-learning activities. The visit was supervised by Dr. Nosheen Hussain and accompanied by the department chairperson, Dr. Ambreen Fazal.
During the visit, students received a detailed briefing on the history, role, and contributions of the Karachi Press Club to Pakistan’s media landscape. Joint Secretary Mr. Muhammad Munsif, Health Committee Secretary Mr. Hamid ur Rehman, and Ms. Mona Siddiqui interacted with the students and discussed the evolving challenges and opportunities in journalism and electronic media.
On the occasion, Ajraks were presented to Dr. Nosheen Hussain and Dr. Ambreen Fazal, while shields from SMIU were given to Mr. Muhammad Munsif, Ms. Mona Siddiqui, and Mr. Rehan Hyder in recognition of their hospitality and support.
The visit concluded with refreshments and a group photograph. The faculty and students termed the visit highly informative and beneficial for understanding the practical dimensions of the media industry.
