SMIU organizes a successful mega event—Sustainovation Expo 2.0.

Sindh Madressatul Islam University’s (SMIU) Business Incubation Centre (BIC) and Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC) organized Sustainovation 2.0, bringing together more than 24 universities, business incubation centers, and organizations from across Pakistan. Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai inaugurated the expo along with distinguished academic guests. More than 50 innovative projects, shortlisted from over 100 applications, were showcased by students and young entrepreneurs, highlighting solutions to economic, environmental, and social challenges. Industry experts and academics evaluated the projects and appreciated the participants’ creativity and entrepreneurial spirit. Speaking at the concluding ceremony, chief guest Nisar Ahmed Khuhro praised SMIU’s growing role in entrepreneurship and innovation. The top three projects received seed funding of PKR 50,000, PKR 30,000, and PKR 20,000, while organizers, mentors, and participants were honored with shields and certificates.
