SMIU Showcases Student Innovation at TechFest 2.0
The Faculty of Information Technology at Sindh Madressatul Islam University (SMIU), in collaboration with the Business Incubation Centre (BIC) and the Office of Research, Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC), organized TechFest 2.0 at the university’s IT Tower. Vice Chancellor Dr. Mujeeb Sahrai inaugurated the event and visited project stalls showcasing innovative ideas by more than 160 final-year students from Computer Science, Software Engineering, and Artificial Intelligence. Around 25 industry experts evaluated the projects and provided professional feedback. Dr. Sahrai praised the quality and societal relevance of the projects, reaffirming SMIU’s commitment to research, innovation, and industry collaboration. Dean Prof. Dr. Abdul Hafeez Khan highlighted the importance of project-based learning in preparing students for professional careers.
